The Muzaffarpur Biofuels Project, initiated in 2021, is a significant step toward clean energy production in India. It was undertaken by M/s Shubhram Engineers, a firm specializing in industrial fabrication and construction, in collaboration with Re-green Excel EPC India Pvt Ltd, which provided the engineering and project management expertise.

Scope of Work:

M/s Shubhram Engineers took charge of fabricating and erecting crucial infrastructure, including:

  • Stainless Steel (SS) Tanks: These are corrosion-resistant tanks used for storing biofuels or other liquids.
  • Mild Steel (MS) Tanks: These are used for storing non-corrosive substances.
  • MS Structures: These structures formed the framework for the plant, providing stability to the entire setup.
  • Piping (SS, CS, and IBR): Piping systems were fabricated and installed for the transportation of biofuels and other fluids. The project involved the use of stainless steel (SS) and carbon steel (CS) for different types of fluids and high-pressure piping as per Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR) standards.

Engineering and Project Management:

Re-green Excel EPC India Pvt Ltd played a critical role by providing technical oversight and ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines. Their engineers worked closely with the team from M/s Shubhram Engineers, ensuring that all work met the high standards required for the biofuels industry.

Workforce and Timeline:

  • Workforce: Approximately 150 employees worked on-site daily, contributing to the project’s successful completion.
  • Completion Timeline: Despite the scale of the work, the project was completed within 2 years, showcasing excellent coordination between the engineering teams and the workforce.

Plant Operation:

The plant is now fully operational and is running smoothly, producing biofuels at the desired capacity. The success of the project marks an important milestone for the renewable energy sector in India, contributing to the country’s efforts toward sustainable energy sources.

The plant’s smooth operation and ability to achieve the desired results reflect the quality of the fabrication and construction work carried out by M/s Shubhram Engineers and the effective project management by Re-green Excel EPC India Pvt Ltd.
